SCHOOL PROGRAMS

The Meyers can provide magic programs and assemblies, field days, and PTA gatherings. All programs can be tailored for specific classes, age groups, and themes. They have presented programs that encourage students in reading, science, and creative thinking.

Some of the schools the Meyers have presented programs in are: The Ottawa Elementary Schools, Lasalle County Circuit Breaker School, Utica Elementary School, and Thomas Edison School in Chicago.

I'M THE ONLY ONE OF ME THERE WILL EVER BE!

I'm The Only One of Me There Will Ever Be is a program which encourages students to realize that they are unique individuals, one of a kind, and that the most important words that someone says to them are what they say to themselves. The students will meet "Bubba" and see how "listening" changed his life! They will be amazed at the possibility of the impossible, and be challenged to be creative. They will hear how hard it is to overcome name-calling and bullying and how feeling good about themselves makes this easier. All of these ideas will be presented through the art of magic and storytelling. This program lasts about 35 minutes.

READING IS WONDER-FUL!

Reading is Wonder-Ful uses magic routines to encourage students to find wonder in reading. "Every book is magic." Stories about Curious George, Bartholomew Cubbins, Betsy Ross, Harry Houdini, and Abraham Lincoln will be illustrated with magic routines. Young children will be introduced to the "Book Worm" as he gets lost in the library. The history of our US flag will be shared with "Threads of Freedom." This program lasts about 40 minutes.
